What type of internet connection do I need?

In addition to the webFones gateway device, is there any special equipment I need to make my phones work on my network?

Yes. You will need a network switch that supports the 801.2p protocol, such as the 3Com Baseline 2816 Switch.

How do I setup a DMZ on my internet connection without degrading call quality?

Use a router that supports prioritization, such as the NetGear FVS338. You will need to configure it so that UDP port 1194 is prioritized over other incoming and outgoing traffic. This will keep internet traffic to the DMZ from interfering with your phone conversations.
